Making your visit to Alan Ray Bridal a successful one by . . . . . . . . .
  1. Do you need an appointment?  Yes, an appointment is necessary to try on wedding gowns.
  2. How much time is allotted for my appointment? An hour to one hour and a half is planned to select and try on gowns with your personal consultant. You may schedule up to 3 appointments with Alan Ray Bridal. The additional appointments will last from 1/2 hour to and hour as required.
  3. What is the price range for the gowns in your store? The gowns range in price from $350.00 to $1800.00. We offer sales incentives on your first visit - example: an extra 10 to 20 % off our competitive prices. Sample gowns are always available for 20 to 30% off for immediate sales. Don't forget that Alan Ray offers additional discounts on your bridesmaids when your bridal gown is purchased with us. 
  4. How many people can I bring with me when selecting my gown?  A bride should bring only the most important people in her life....... mother, sister, best friend or possibly grandmother. It is suggested that you do not bring children . .  though cute distraction that they are . . . because of the delicate fabrics and easily damaged gowns. Alan Ray is a family owned business and we certainly understand the importance of family. We suggest no more that 3 people for your support system.
  5. Do I need to bring anything with me? Many brides like to bring their favorite strapless bra and their most comfortable pair of heeled shoes. Alan Ray will provide longline bras and clean slips as well. The bridal consultants find it very helpful when brides bring in some of their favorite pictures from magazines or the Internet. 
  6. What dress sizes do you carry? The bridal designer that we carry make  from a size 2 to a size 26. Alan Ray has chosen a group of designers to be carried in the store that will also specially cut their gowns in petites, tall, and womens sizes. Some will even let us make design changes.   7. My wedding is in a few weeks. Can you help me? Yes! Alan Ray Bridal always has gowns available for immediate purchase. Please make us aware of this when making your appointment.
  8. How long does it take for my gown to come in? We strongly suggest ordering your gown no less than 8 months prior to your wedding. Some designers have quicker delivery time or offer rush service. Your consultant will help you with your time schedule.
  9. How do I know which size to order and are alterations available?  Each designer has their own measurement card, size will be determined when we take your bust, waist and hip measurement. The gowns are not custom made. Therefore, you may need a few alternations for a custom fit. Alan Ray is a custom designer. Therefore, it goes without saying that alterations done by Alan will be professionally done on site. You of course are welcome to use your own seamstress of choice. Alteration prices are not built into the price of our gowns. Therefore, the choice is yours.
  10. If I don't see the gown that I want in your store can you order it for me? Yes, we can special order any gown from the designers that we carry regardless whether we have a sample on hand or not. We are also able to order from other designers that we do not feature, please ask.
  11. When I am ready to order my gown may I do it over the phone, what deposit is required and can you ship it to me? Yes, you gown can be ordered over the phone however signatures will be required by fax and your form of payment of check card, VISA, Mastercard and Discover will be taken by phone.Some gowns however require special measurements such as hollowed hem. Therefore, we suggest making an appointment for ordering your gown. The minimum requirement for ordering a gown is 50% or more depending on promotion. We would be happy to ship your gown for a minimal charge once it is paid for.  We do not offer a lay-away plan and all sales are final regardless of your circumstance.
  12. You helped me with my gown now please help me with my attendants! Alan Ray has over 1500 bridesmaids dresses to choose from. Choosing a bridesmaids to complement your gown as well as your bridesmaids will be easy with our full spectrum of styles and colors. With bridesmaids scattered all over the country we can cater to your situation and help you keep control of your order. Measurement charts will be provided to you for your out of town bridesmaids which they in turn can mail or fax to us their measurements. Once we receive all measurements and deposits, your dresses will be ordered so the designer can cut them all out of the same bolt of fabric. We strongly suggest that you do not order from different places at different times. This results in different dye lots, causing shipping delays and many other stressful situations you as a bride frankly do not need. Ordering time for bridesmaids varies from designer as well as the time of year. Planning not less than 20 weeks ahead of your wedding is great but as always ask your consultant for the current time schedule of your favorite designer, rush is always available. Payment will be required at time of measuring.
